Why This Ritual Changed Everything

Self-care doesn’t have to take hours to transform your wellbeing.

For years, I told myself I didn’t have time for self-care. Between work, family, and the endless mental load of daily life, carving out an hour for myself felt impossible.

Then everything shifted when I changed my thinking. What if self-care didn’t need to be elaborate? What if 15 minutes was enough – if I truly showed up for those 15 minutes?

So I started my tea ritual. Every day, same time, same practice. The process is simple: make my tea slowly, mindfully. Sit without my phone. No multitasking. Simply notice the warmth of the cup in my hands, the aroma, the quiet. For 15 minutes, I’m fully present with myself.

It’s not much. But it’s everything.

The duration doesn’t matter as much as being intentional with the time you have.

As women and parents, we’re often taught that our needs come last. That taking time for ourselves is selfish, or that it only “counts” if it’s substantial. But I’ve learned that tiny, regular acts of self-love can be more powerful than occasional grand gestures.

Fifteen minutes can change your day. And changing your day, consistently, can change your life.

In fact, if you look at my logo you’ll see it’s a cup. It doesn’t matter if it’s tea or coffee; it’s about a gentle moment for yourself.

Got a question? I’d love to help so ask me.
